Jesus called his followers to a radical commitment - to follow Him as His disciples above everything else. As a church we are passionate about the life-long calling of discipleship: that we would all, at every stage of life, be growing toward maturity, trusting in God to complete His plans for us.
As such, we value these things:
Serving, not spectating - Jesus' plan for discipleship was to engage men and women such that they would be actively involved in serving him and serving others, not sitting on the sidelines. We desire that each one in our congregation would find a calling and an opportunity to serve.
God's plans, not ours - In God's providence, our lives often don't go "according to plan" and neither do the plans for the church. We desire that we would keep God's plan in the center of our lives and of our church.
Diverse, not homogenous - In the Body of Christ, there is much diversity of background, preference, opinion, and heritage. We desire to be a Body that values the uniqueness of each member that Christian love would overcome the differences and tensions that we may feel due to our diversity.
Grassroots, not top-down - God has promised to equip His church through the spiritual gifts of each member. We desire to encourage God's people to serve Him with the passions and gifts that He provides.
